This is a good book that covers some basic strength training derived from gymnastics. While it's no comparison to the modern "Building the Gymnastics Body" by Christopher Sommer, we have to consider that it was written over 20 years prior. Obviously that means it was before it's time. If the book were to be updated and reprinted today I am sure that it could do well. It's pretty basic overall and doesn't include some of the more well-known progressions but given that it was designed to give average readers a basic gymnastic workout, I think it did a good job.
