Shows how Padre Pio healed bodies, souls and hearts--through miracles, providential "coincidences," etc. Assistance in illness, bereavement, broken marriage, irrational fear, business, exiting Freemasonry, finding lost objects, spiritual life and conversions. Rare firsthand view of this great, holy priest.

A beautiful book, highlighting the important in life very clearly. Food for thought! Food for reviewing attitudes in life.

This book gives you great insight of the Saint Padre Pio, but it also gives you great insight on the author of the book too. St. Padre Pio was a great saint who everone knows because of the stigmata, bilocation and he could read souls. This was given to him by grace because of his faith, prayerfulness, obedience, penance and humility. The author of the book, Madame Katharina Tangari, was the other kind of saint that not too many people know about. Her love of the Rosary, going to Mass and use of the sacraments, going to confession with St. Padre Pio, all led to her salvation. This book is excellent and I highly recommend it. This book will help awaken your faith and will leave you totally amazed. This quote from St. Padre Pio on the inside page of the book says it all and is so very important to remember..."We must be alert on the road to salvation. Only the fervent succeed in reaching it, never the tepid or those who sleep!"

This book is about the great Saint Padre Pio and is enfolded in a traditional Roman Catholic outlook. If one accepts that, then the book has great value. The author is undoubtedly sincere and a very holy Catholic woman,I would maintain though that this saint also has appeal to those who are not Catholics and have no intention of becoming Catholic. Further, that Padre Pio himself did not expect all his devotees to follow the path of conservative Catholic orthodoxy for their salvation. At the same time, for all devotees of Padre Pio, this short book is full of interesting details of miracles and how the great saint operated and so, is therefore worth reading.

Good book on amazing stories about Padre Pio's intercession and miracles he performed for others. The chapter in the back of the book gives a history of the monastery where he lived. Also, short bio on Madam Tangari, his spiritual daughter, who was also a holy woman. Would like to read a book about this amazing woman too!

I found the book to be deeper, better, and more inspiring than many such books, due to the devoted and mature outlook of the author, who was herself a remarkable person of faith. The book concentrates more on the spiritual growth inherent in the stories, as opposed to the miracles surrounding this great saint. She is not a polished writer, but is very simple and direct. The book is less about Padre Pio himself, and more about how he transformed the spiritual lives of those who came to him for help.Like another viewer, I only give the book three stars due to the horribly cheap binding job of TAN Books and Publishers. The book just falls apart right away.

My father gave me this book in 1998 as a gift. I couldn't put it down I finished it in one evening. My family and I have been followers of Padre Pio since my mother heard a talk given at her school in the 1950's. I have read seven books about Padre Pio and this book is still my favorite one of the seven.Madame Katharina Tangari was so brave and a true follower of Padre Pio. I hope someone writes a book and a movie about Madame Katharina Tangari's life. If you want to learn about Padre Pio's struggles and road to Sainthood this is the book for you. After you read this book you will want to travel to San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy and see where Padre Pio lived and died. A year in a half ago I went to San Giovanni Rotondo and I was not disappointed.

This is the best book on Padre Pio that I have read. I loved reading this book and return to it often finding comfort and peace in it's pages.
