This book was a disappointment. The authors of course are extraordinarily knowledgeable in the area of gun rights. Unfortunately, the level of he book is that of a cocktail party discussion of the topic. Additionally, there are multiple places where the authors leave the impression that there are two valid sides to an issue, to be decided by proof-by-anecdote, when there are substantive arguments against the gun control position. Additionally, there are parts of the book where the authors give the impression of Parson Weems preaching. There are much better books available, such as John Lott's The Bias against Guns. The book seems like it was a first draft and that the authors found they did not have time to continue with the project so that they published what they had written rather than to go through several drafts until they had a quality product.Of course, a valid reason for buying the book would be simply to support the Second Amendment Foundation, which does very good work.

I did not purchase from Amazon. I got it at the National Gun Rights Conference this year. Out of all the items I got this was the first book I started reading. I also met the author. I'll say this book is very up to date and informative. I don't want to post a spoiler so I 'll leave it at that about the book, It is a must add to your libary book!
