3.5 stars. Cute and light hearted story. I started out thinking Blake Donovan was such a douche bag who was rather specific in his preferences in female partners. Nothing wrong with that, but wow, he was picky and offered very little in return. I liked how Andrea worked hard to bring out the vulnerable side of him, with her efforts to get to know him in order to search out suitable candidates for him. As the story went on, I realized that Blake is actually very likable and more sensitive and down to earth than he reveals. As for Andrea, she was fun and perceptive. I just found it odd in terms of their arrangement that they made while Blake was supposedly dating and how the two of them were even okay with those terms. Otherwise, I did like how Blake was immediately attracted to Andrea from the get go even though she was nothing like what he would've picked out in his mind. It just goes to show that chemistry can't be ignored no matter what kind of package the person presents him or herself in.

weeks An enjoyable love story, in this 2 book series, by author Laurelin McGee, that will be impossible to put down until the very ending....(18+)...As CEO of Donovan Info Tech, Blake Donovan knew what he needed in a wife. She had to be socially acceptable, be his arm candy at all times and be at his beck and call every second of the day. What else is there, right? Having no luck with casual dates, Blake had never had a problem in the female department, so why was it that every time he went out on a date, no woman appeased him at all, regardless of their beauty? He was about to give up on the idea of marriage altogether until he decided on hiring a matchmaker but when the day came that Blake finally met her not only melted all his resolve through the cracks but for the first time in his life, Blake was at a loss for words. After being blackballed from her previous job, Andrea "Andy" Dawson couldn't believe she was about to become Blake Donovan's matchmaker. She had no clue how to find this man a wife, especially since she found him to be nothing but egotistical, domineering, and totally arrogant. If she found him this way, then how would any potential future wife find him to be? Andy needed this job like her lungs needed oxygen and she would do whatever it took to find the perfect mate for the obnoxious jerk that he was but deep down, she couldn't control the desire she felt towards the man himself or the sudden attraction she felt in every inch of her bones. Did he suspect at all? One look at Andy and Blake couldn't deny the desire he was feeling for Andy but he also knew that she was headstrong, bossy, and yes, beautiful as sin but as the days went by, so did their passion intensify for the other and before they even knew what was happening, they were both entangled in a heated passionate love affair. When Andy comes to the wrong conclusion about something, her heart is suddenly broken into two leaving Blake not only in the dark but completely clueless. Should he go after her? What happened? Didn't she care anymore? Will true love find a way? Or is it over between them before it even got started? Be sure to read "Love Struck", book 2. Of this enjoyable 2 book series....thank you

I loved this story! I couldn't put it down! Everything from the characters and plot to the twists and complete misunderstandings make it perfect! Honestly, my only complaint is about the cover (Andy is not properly presented on the cover), which should say something.Andy was my favorite character! I could completely relate to her. From the emotional responses to the internal thought processes, I was there with her the entire time.Blake was a great lead guy. He's got all of the male stuff like ego and carelessness in relationships but then he is also sensitive and lovable. I loved that he retained some mystery until the end but you still get to know him.Between the two of them, the romance was fantastic. The snarky banter and the clear truths were beautifully written and very real. There were some hot scenes too, but just enough to enhance the story and not so many that it was just smut. It had me laughing and my heartbreaking for them. The storyline was almost entirely character based, with very little happening outside of their relationship, whether as a boss and employee or boyfriend and girlfriend. Everything else was situational and not significant overall. That said Andy's sister Lacy was fantastic and I can't wait to read her story.Overall, a wonderful book that I will definitely be reading again. I would recommend it to anyone who loves romcoms because that is exactly what it is, in book form.

This book was a bit hit and miss for me, there are parts that I really loved but then other parts that I found slightly boring.I really wanted to like the characters and for the most part I liked Andy but I just didn't connect with Blake at all. I don't feel like as the reader we really got to know him properly... For a lot of the story he is pretending to be something he's not as he thinks that's what is going to attract the right kind of wife and although some of his guards come down, I still felt like he was holding back.I struggled quite a bit with this book, I found myself putting it down and picking it up again a couple days later (normally I finish a book in a day)All in all, I didn't hate this book but I didn't love it either. Its not something that I'm going to be raving about and I probably wont read the next book in this series. That said, I am a huge fan of Laurelin Paige (Hudson Pierce... Dayum!) and I will continue to look forward to her other books.
