    Book details

Developed for advanced students in public relations, Cases in Public Relations Management uses recent cases in public relations that had outcomes varying from expected to unsuccessful. The text challenges students to think analytically, strategically, and practically. Each case is based on real events, and is designed to encourage discussion, debate, and exploration of the options available to today's strategic public relations manager.

Key features of this text include coverage of the latest controversies in current events, discussion of the ethical issues that have made headlines in recent years, and strategies used by public relations practitioners. Most cases end with an open scenario, allowing students to discover different opinions and participate in creative discussions. The case study approach encourages readers to assess what they know about communication theory, the public relations process, and management practices, and prepares them for their future careers as PR practitioners. A companion website ( provides additional resources for instructors to use with their students.

Very fast shipment, great product. Book was in good shape, no highlighting and marks in the book. Overall happy with my purchase.

Ok, how often do you find a book review saying "I love it!?" Not often, but for those Communications Majors out there (and those interested in Communications) this book is very insightful and up-to-date with all the major cases that happened within the past ten years or so. I found it extremely helpful in studying these company cases and seeing how they got out of their situations in dealing with their target publics (Audiences) and the law. Awesome book, great author, good read for anyone in college/majoring/or interested in Communications!

Was sealed, in a package when I recieved it. Thought it might have a few scratches, even though it said new, but it was exactly that! It was BRAND NEW. Better to buy the book for a little bit more money than rent it, because of the case studies you might need later.

I thought that this book was very educational and contained a lot of good knowledge in it.

Had to use this book for one of my Public Relations classes. I definitely wouldn't buy it for pleasure reading, but it wasn't awful. If you need an informative PR book, this does the trick.
