I had to work to keep returning to this book. Every section I read left me with an undercurrent of depression, although Ms. Moffatt tried to imbue joy and hope into the conclusion of each story. But the overall feeling I kept coming away with was one of gloom and dread of growing older. I've read and enjoyed Bettyclare's other books, but this one was most disappointing. I just didn't like it.

I like most of the book and it goes along with other women's studies.

Educational and inspirational. Would encourage women of all ages to read. More than met my expectations. Would order for my female friends.

Betty Clare Moffatt is a wise and comforting voice to this 52-year-old reader who is searching to find meaning, purpose and soul contentment in these post-child years. Her writing is beautiful and transcendant. And her life struggles and the wisdom that she has gathered because of them were inspiring and deeply comforting to bask in. For me, reassurances from an older woman to a younger one that life can always be beautiful and miraculous, no matter what age we are.

Since I seem to be doing my own "soulwork" of late, this book caught my eye. The short essays are beautifully written and have brought me to tears and laughter with their stories. Ms Moffatt has touched the reality of being a woman "of an age". Much of what she describes has also happened to me, and she tells it in such a delightful way. I highly recommend it.
