It covers the key AM processes, the available models and specifications, and their principles, materials, advantages and disadvantages. Examples of application areas in design, planning, manufacturing, biomedical engineering, entertainment, weaponry, art and architecture are also given. The book includes several related problems for the reader to test his or her understanding of the topics. The included CD-ROM presents animated illustrations of the working principles of today's key AM processes.

Readership: Secondary school students, junior college students, diploma and advanced diploma students, undergraduates, postgraduates, consultants, academics, researchers and professionals in mechanical and industrial engineering.

"This is the most comprehensive and relevant textbook in the field of 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing. Whenever I teach subjects related to rapid product development I use this book as a reference. My students appreciate the easy way the information is introduced very much. This is an excellent book for both undergraduate and postgraduate students." -- Paulo Jorge Bartolo, Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, Portugal 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing (AM) has revolutionized how prototypes are made and small batch manufacturing carried out. The seller was extremely quick in processing and shipping this order. I was really happy with it. The book, however, is terrible. You will be better educated through a few hours of skimming Wikipedia articles. It is not worth your money.
